Since starting as a freedom-state from 1292-1558 Lanna Kingdom has 16 kings.


Then ruled by Tong-U Kingdom(former Mynmar)from 1559-1596 by 4 kings.


After that ruled by Ayudhaya Kingdom from 1596-1614 by 3 kings.


Then Ang-wa Kingdom(also former Mynmar) take charge from 1614-1663 by 5 kings.

From 1663 they became Cheingmai part of Siam Kingdom.

In the period of King Rama 1st of Chakkri Dynasty of Siam some of anna people start moving to central of Suwannapum area,some of them stay in Pitsanuloke,some in part of Loas,Vietnam,and also in Nakornsawan.
After the war with Mynmar some of them come down in order of the king to live in Supannapum area(Supanburi,Nakornpatom,Kanchanaburi,Ratchaburi and Petchaburi)untill now.

There are still many Lanna descender here in Ratchaburi my home-town including me.

Among the natural atmosphere,green forest and mountains in the Lanna kingdom,there are the place of Bhuddists known as the center of the North ;Pratat Doi Sutep,Chiangmai.
Another famous place is Wat Mahawan,Lumpun where Pra Rod(small amulet) is very much demand.

The Lanna house style are simple Thai style in wooden materials as at that time plenty of wood surround the kingdom.There is a special Lanna sign on top of the roof called Kalae.

Thailand traditional lifestyle are very unique, each part have their own character .I would like to focus on North first.The North of Thailand called Lanna Thai ,the former kingdom consist of Chiangmai,Chiangrai,Maehongson,Prae,Naan,Payao,Lumpun,Lumpang and Utaradit.

Start from 1292 by Praya Mengrai and Chiangmai is the capital city.
